Support for Ages 13-39
And all the changes, questions, and challenges in between.
Brooklyn can be a place where you’re becoming more of yourself while also wondering who that person is supposed to be.
Maybe you’re finishing school, starting over, navigating family expectations, changing relationships, or trying to make choices that actually feel like yours. Maybe you thought this chapter would feel different and instead you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, burnout, or uncertainty about what comes next.
Some seasons feel full of possibility. Others bring grief, pressure, relationship changes, questions about identity, or the sense that something in your life no longer fits.
You might be asking yourself: What do I want now? What am I ready to leave behind? What feels true to me?
Therapy in Brooklyn can be a place to make sense of those questions without needing to have all the answers first.
Meet Your Therapist
Brooklyn has a way of holding history and possibility in the same block.
That can look different at 15 than it does at 25 or 38. Maybe you’re trying to figure out who you are apart from your family, your friends, your school, your relationship, your job, or the version of you everyone seems to expect. Maybe you’re doing a lot and still feel anxious, low, disconnected, burned out, or unsure why nothing feels quite settled.
Hi, I’m Dr. Angelica. I work with teens and adults ages 13–39 through the parts of life that don’t always come with a clear map.
I chose this age range for a reason. So much life is shaped here, and so often our teenage years are recycled into adulthood. For more than a decade, this is the work I’ve returned to: helping people through what changes, and what stays the same.
Therapy should be exactly what you need it to be – laughing, crying, remembering, feeling, focusing, and doing the $#!+ your heart knows you can.
I use CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and creative arts to help you get to what matters in a way that actually works for you.

Therapy in Brooklyn for Identity, Relationships, Anxiety, Depression, and Life Transitions
A lot can change while you are still trying to understand what you want to keep.
The people you love, the expectations you grew up with, the relationships you choose, the work you do, and the future you imagined can all start to feel different as you do.
You may be asking:
What actually matters to me now?
How do I make a different choice without feeling like I am letting someone down?
Why am I doing everything I am supposed to and still feel anxious, low, or unsure?
What happens when the life I planned no longer fits?
Therapy can help you understand what you have inherited, what you have learned, and what you genuinely want to choose for yourself.
Growing does not have to mean leaving everything behind. Sometimes it means deciding, more intentionally, what comes with you.
Common Themes of Growth:
school pressure • anxiety • friendships • family • confidence • identity • emotions • boundaries • growing independence • figuring out where you fit • experimentation
career changes • relationships • parenthood • loss • community • boundaries • purpose • sense of self • bigger picture
college • professional identity • uncertainty • dating • social life • moving • expectations • identity • figuring out adulthood • responsibility • grief
You Can Carry Your History Without Letting It Decide Everything for You.
Growing into yourself can mean staying connected to what matters, questioning what no longer fits, and making choices that feel more like your own.
